Jean-François Provost was born in Ottawa in 1976 and graduated from the Université du Québec en Outaouais in 2001 with a degree in visuals arts. Since then, he has taken part in group and individual shows, and had received several prizes and distinctions for is work as a painter. Now his canvases command the attention of gallery owners and collectors all over the world. His work is to be found in many collections including the Department of Foreign Affairs, Loto-Québec and the Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire, City of Ottawa, Ville de Gatineau, Provigo and as well as in many corporate and private collections in England, The United States, Canada,  Belgium and Austria.
